I was chatting with my girlfriend last night. Texting. See how technologically advanced I am?

She was telling me she was all caught up with her Twitter account following the latest worldwide news. I suppose I don’t even have to tell you what’s happening there. Don’t need to have a Twitter account to have an angst filled heart.

I told her I had an account but it was quite inactive. She asked what the name would be. I told her to try this and to try that. Because I had no recollection.

She finally found me. Said she was rolling on the floor laughing.

I questioned why.

I had about seven tweets (only four of them mine-darn spam!)

The last one was back in August of 2009. “Thinking about losing five pounds.”

And I was not referring to money.

I laughed and said, “It’s August 2013 and I’m still thinking about it!”

I suppose there is something to be said for continuity and predictability.

Even this technologically advanced world can appreciate that. Especially while we are on the edge of our seats, anxious and fearful about the unstable and very unpredictable nature of the current news.
