It’s been eight years since I started this blog. Seems hard to believe.
I’ve had visitors from all over the world. The biggest “hits” on my site are from the United States. Followed by India and Ireland.
India because I once wrote about a young Brown student who went missing. Now every time someone searches the first name (not necessarily him but the first name which seems to be popular in India) they come across my blog. And we all know India is a well populated place.
Ireland, I suppose, is just the power of a big family. And lots of friends.
I have wondered if I should just let it go. Maybe it’s getting old. Maybe I am constantly regurgitating old stuff.
So, I’m looking for feedback. Should I go out like Johnny Carson? At the top of his game when people might actually miss him?
Or should I continue writing this blog?
Be honest. I can take it.
Thank you!
As long as you are still enjoying the writing and sharing, please continue, Mary. I know I don’t comment often but I do always enjoy your pieces. They’ve made me laugh, cry, but most especially, think over the last couple of years. I’d miss them.
Thanks, Stacy! I do enjoy the writing and the sharing. I suppose I could do it in my own personal journal. But if folks do enjoy them then I am happy to continue!
Keep going Mary…I’m new…I need 8 years;). You are a fabulous writer and I enjoy you
Awww, Jodie….thank you!
Your writing is the best! Ever since my niece Jodie gave me your site, I have looked forward to reading your latest. I spent hours initially reading back blogs. You have a gift and a flare for your writing, and your outlook on life is very inspiring. Recently told your mom this. Keep up the good words!!!
Thank you, Aunt Chris! Not sure if Jodie shared with you but I met an old fellow last Spring at the center where Mom was having her radiation….his name was Mr. Long and he was also a Townie. Once he found out where I grew up he told me he used to work with Fred Gillette in the newspaper business …and it was apparent they were very fond memories of his…everybody loved your Dad. xoxoMB
Thanks, MB. . . .and. . .keep on writing!!
🙂
I dont’t comment, but I enjoy reading your work. I think you should continue.
Thank you! 🙂
I’d miss it! Do it as long as it makes you happy. You have such a talent, I’m envious. At one point in my life I refuse to not finish a book a was reading, even if it was awful or I just plain didn’t like it. A very wise person said to me, ” life is to short to read a bad book.” So I now read to make me happy. Think of your commitment along the same lines…however I’ll keep reading if you keep writing!😊
Thank you! Don’t forget bad movies even if you paid the money! LOL
Please keep it going. I love reading your musings, observations, and opinions. Just my two cents.
Your two cents counts…..it always has….
I am a new follower, but enjoy every one. I too have laughed and cried with you. I have even “felt the Malaysian breezes” and been to the market with you. Things I otherwise would have missed out on. Thanks Mary!
Thank you, Patty!
Although I don’t reply I read you each time and enjoy them. Keep going as long as you are able. I know you have a busy life but you cheer us up and at times give us food for thought. Love Maureen
Thank yot and sending love to you
You should most certainly continue my talented friend! I enjoy reading them, in a world full of all too much negativity, it’s refreshing to see your positive spin!
